PROCUREMENT GUIDE

Purchasing FAQs

Answers to common questions about preparing a material inquiry. Submitting an inquiry is not placing an order: product, quantity, documentation and timing all need item-specific confirmation first. Any proposed alternative must be reviewed and accepted by your project's responsible reviewer before it is considered.

Buyer Checklist

Short answers to common purchasing questions. Availability of any category, product or document needs confirmation for each inquiry.

What to send?

Product, quantity, unit, specification, destination and requested timing.

Can multiple categories go in one inquiry?

Yes, multiple categories can be sent as one organized inquiry. This does not guarantee a single shipment or a single source.

Is an inquiry an order?

No. An inquiry is not an order. Product pages describe inquiry categories, not a stock list.

What about alternatives, dates and documents?

Alternatives need acceptance by your responsible reviewer. Requested dates are not reserved slots. Required certificates and documents need item-specific confirmation.

How do I make initial contact?
