List grade, standard, nominal and actual dimensions, wall or schedule, lengths, and piece counts for each line.
Structural Shapes
Identify shapes by their approved designation and required lengths. Note the exact reports or documents you need.
Plate
Give thickness, width, and length. List any finish or processing separately; these are requests, not promises.
How to Describe Pipe and Tube for a Quote
List each pipe or tube line separately with its grade, the standard it is specified to, nominal and actual dimensions, wall thickness or schedule, required lengths and piece counts. A line that gives only a size or a total weight cannot be quoted reliably.
Structural shapes should be listed by approved designation and length. Plate should be listed by thickness, width and length. List any finish or processing as a separate line item. Finish and processing are not promised until confirmed in writing.
